2019 FANTASY FOOTBALL WEEK 9
Week 9 Categories
A) Team with most Rush yards (all RB starters including flex)
Winner: All Mahomies - 266 Rushing Yards by Christian McCaffrey & Josh Jacobs
Note - this manager did not even start a RB in flex, dominant performance from Run CMC

B) Winning team with least points by a starting kicker
Winner: Dude, Where's My Carson? - Josh Lambo - 3 pts
Note - going into this week Lambo was the number 1 kicker in fantasy, gotta love that he gets the least amount this week to secure the money.

Feel like this guy was Timothy Olyphant's stunt double in Justified, thoughts?
C) High Scorer
Winner: All Mahomies - 195.9 pts
In a week where the Patriots defense had their worst week gaining only 6 fantasy points, Peter still finds away to come away with the top score for the week. Credit where credit is due the word domination should not be taken lightly when trying to describe this team. In fact, his opponent would have beaten every other team in the league with the exception of one. I thought he was going to sit his kicker to with the thought of winning an extra 25 bones, but he didn't listen, he didn't listen?

Matchups
To Khalil A Mackingbird vs Team Minshew Horny
82.4 to 85.6
Top Performers
1. Deandre Hopkins - 17 pts - only 48 yards on the day, TD salvaged his week
Kratz almost getting a taste of 3rd place ^ |
2. Gardner Minshew II - 15.6 pts - maybe time to change your name Jahns? Certainly not the Gardner we've been used to seeing this season. If this manager had stuck with his gut and started Kyler Murray he would have sole place of third.. shame.
3. Chris Godwin - 11.3 pts
Godwin was ranked top 5 projected wideouts this past week, see blurb below as to why he fell short.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin grabbed seven of nine targets for 61 yards in Week 9 against the Seahawks Defense. Godwin struggled to gain many yards after contact, which accounted for his low yardage output. Fellow wideout Mike Evans was the main cog once again, using his height and reach advantage to abuse the Seahawks defenders. Godwin is still heavily involved in the offense and will certainly amaze us all again sooner than later. It could happen in Week 10 when the Bucs face the inconsistent Arizona Cardinals at home. Godwin is a WR1/WR2 for that contest.
Mackingbird's bench outscored his starts ~88 to 82, you just hate to see that. Have you been taking advise from Nordo? Sheesh... I will say it must've been a tough week have some players play on Thursday, some in London, and some traveling from Tampa Bay to Seattle.. Look for this team to get back on track next week starting with a couple nice trades that will hope to prove dividends on a playoff push.
Top Performers
No Kamara, No Brees, No AJ Green, No Gurley, No Julio Jones, NO PROBLEM
Jahns starters this week almost made me puke, but then I realized im playing Nick and he willingly started Davantae Parker and Robby Anderson and at the time of writing this is going to beat me. PUKE
1. Jamison Crowder - 19.7 pts - nice pick up this past week, turned out to be highest scorer for team Minshew.
must hurt losing to this player, when googling his name this is the first article that came up.
"Jamison Crowder is Projected to Be the #52 WR the Rest of the 2019 Season...Behind Taylor Gabriel and Ahead of A.J. Brown"
Why draft Deandre Hopkins in the first round when you can pick up Jamison Crowder in a week 9 matchup against the Dolphins? Gotta love fantasy folks!
2. Philip Rivers - 16.8 pts
.
Jahns begging his whole team to come off bye/injured report |
3. Jamaal Williams - 15 pts Green Bay's only TD on Sunday against the Chargers went to Williams. Lucky
White Claw Variety Packs vs The Flemchise
108.5 to 164.9
Top Performers
1. Tom Brady - 19.8 pts - do we finally see the Patriots lose this year? Ravens showed some promise.
2. Buffalo D/ST - 18 pts - consistent Defense as they come, feel like they have been top scorer for this team a few times
3. Leveon Bell - 17 pts - Jets stink LOL
Top Performers
1. Russell Wilson - 53.4 pts - second massive performance of 50 points from Wilson this year, probably the lead MVP candidate will be interesting to see how he can close that race out down the stretch with the weapons of Metcalf, Lockett, and now Josh Gordon..
Really cool article on Russ and Lamar MVP race follow this link

2. Kenny Golladay - 27.4 pts - might be my favorite pick of the draft. Have not decided yet, would you guys be interested in getting a top 10 picks from the draft blog? Now that we're getting deep into the season could be fun to go back and analyze where some managers hit the jackpot. Could include a busts/sleepers section and whatnot.. Let me know your thoughts !
3. Melvin Gordon - 25.8 pts
The draft plan is all coming together and this team is getting hot at the right time. Of course I have to play against Flem this week in what should be a great matchup. Both teams competing to get to .500 - be sure to follow the action live on Sunday. I guaranteed a win vs Nick, I won't go that far this week. But, I will say this is a MUST win.

What the Ekeler? vs Dude, Where's My Carson?
131.9 to 132.5
Some are saying this was equivalent to Babe Ruth calling his shot. I will not go that far, I will go further. I visualized this victory in my dreams, I saw this future and knew I would come away the victor. There were times I doubted myself throughout the week, did I set the right lineup? Will Dalvin Cook tear his ACL? Basically the only two questions not that I think about it. Even so, what happened during the 4th quarter of the MNF game may go down in the history of fantasy as the greatest guaranteed win call we've seen.

Down big, Amari Cooper scored a 45 yard TD to pull within 1 point of What The Ekeler? Engram the only chance left receives a pass for a gain of 6 yards to go up by half a point. BUT WAIT, there's a flag on the play. *AUDIBLE GASPS*
The play is called back and Engram's points get taken off the fantasy board.
2 plays later Engram catches a pass for 5 yards on 3rd and 22. That was the last catch for his night and Daniel Jones would go on to give up a turnover mere minute later and that would seal Ekeler's fate.

Top Performers
1. Pit D/ST - 27.2 pts - watching their 96 yard INT Return TD live on Sunday was very painful. Jacoby Brisett going down also didn't help. Im convinced the fantasy gods hate me.
2. Deshaun Watson - 25 pts
3. Chris Boswell - 16 pts - In a week where one of the categories was a winning team with least points by a starting kicker, Nick decided to ignore the $25 and go for the victory. 16 points from a kicker.
Top Performers
1. Matt Stafford - 40 pts
Thanks to Peter for dropping Stafford, thus winning the week for me. I guess there was no room on his bench behind Lamar and Mahomes. Thanks!

A dark horse MVP candidate
2. Marvin Jones Jr - 26.1 pts
A nice 1-2 stack from the Lions, do I do it again vs. the Bears this week?
Kerryon My Wayword Son vs 99 Problems But Mitch Ain't One
121.3 to 114.9
Was relatively close going into MNF, where Wayword Son was banking on Booger's old partner Witten to have a solid night in which he did, routing 99 Problems in the process. I have been watching these MNF games on mute with closed captioning on, it helps I suggest you all try it.

Top Performers
1. Tyler Lockett - 38.5 pts - I was one week off on this game, Lockett and Russ are LOCKed in.
2. David Montgomery - 22.5 pts - pleasant surprise the Bears decided to run the ball. Still confused as to why this kid isn't getting 25 carries a game. Run the damn ball!
"thank you for handing me the ball Nagy" |
2nd coming of Matt Forte, feed the man |
3. Aaron Rodgers - 17.4 pts
Really didn't think this was enough points from Rodgers for this team to win, but a deflated team in 99 Problems But Mitch Ain't one helped seal the bag. I also love how each week Nordo starts the wrong QB, keep it rolling bud!

Top Performers
1. Zach Ertz - 24.4 pts - DOMINATED the Bears on Sunday. It seemed like every time Wentz was dropping back he was going to his tight end on a little cross route across the middle the Bears could simply not defend. Feels like Joe has been waiting on a performance from Ertz like this one, was it enough to beat Nordo??
2. Carson Wentz - 20.6 pts - Wentz was great not giving up turnovers and was able to quickly get the ball out of his hands before Mack and company could get back there.
3. Duke Johnson Jr - 17.6 pts - very funny to get the text from Nordo confessing he made a mistake by helping out his opponent set his lineup. Glad the irish guilt was on him that day and not me.
I woke up Sunday and had no idea this game was going, but apparently Duke Johnson had a good game. Nice
Injured And Afraid vs All Mahomies
159.1 to 195.9
Well a certainly valiant effort from David here in a true matchup of David vs. Goliath. Good news is David can still win out and make a run at the playoffs.. his team has certainly been putting up big numbers since coming off injuries. Bad news is he ran into the McCaffrey train and got slaughtered.
Top Performers
1. Dal D/ST - 28.2 pts
It would have been really cool if this matchup was a little closer... IDK if you guys saw it but the Cowboys Defense had a garbage time TD with 7 seconds left in the game. Would have been GREAT if that TD mattered in this matchup and David snuck away a win from the undefeated Mahomes. A kid can dream I guess.
