This owner's decision to start Desean Jackson kept him from winning an additional payout for this week's highest score award..
I'd like to think writing this in last week's blog had some influence on this owner's decision to start Desean in the flex spot:
"I think everyone was on pins & needles watching the Eagles go down big against the Redskins, only for Wentz to start making some throws. Jeffery had an OK day... If he doesn't score TD he finishes with 4 Receptions for under 50 yards.

Desean Jackson on the other hand (who White Claws benched) finished with over 150 yards and 2 TD's....Yikes"
Desean Jackson start in flex was costly. Finished the day with 0 points before getting hurt. This is the reason I can never own Jackson. One week he leads the league the next he gets you 0 in flex.
Trade high while you can, you've been warned..
Honorable Mention: John Ross III last second 66 Yard TD reception with 0 seconds left on the clock. That would have won this week's had it not been for Beckham on Monday night...Be sure to read To Khalil a Mackingbird's recap later in the blog and find out even with John Ross' catch why this owner wasn't able to pull off the W...
Nobody’s catching @WatchJRoss! That’s a 66-yard @Bengals TD. #SeizeTheDEY #SFvsCIN— NFL (@NFL) September 15, 2019

B) Player with most rushing and receiving yards combined
Winner: Team Jahnsy Rico - Dalvin Cook 191 combined yards (read last week's blurb on this guy if you haven't already)
C) High Scorer
Winner: All Mahomies - 168 pts
The name says it all.. With 443 yards, 4 Touchdowns, and 1 Fumble Patrick Mahomes leads the way against the Oakland Raiders almost reaching 50 fantasy points. It turns out that wasn't the top scorer for this team this week. Find out who that was in match up recap vs. To Khalil A Mackingbird...
Woof, only manager to not break 100 pts this week after a dominant week 1 performance. Will look to bounce back next week against a tough opponent in Jahnsy Rico
Maybe Big Ben's last game?
Team Noradin
A bounce back week in what seemed to have been the most bone headed start of the year in playing the Jacksonville D against Kansas City in week 1. This team lead by almost entirely of NFC players put up big numbers in week 2.
Probably the closest match up in how close these scores were. It wound up being an entertaining battle that came down to Monday Night Football where Nick Chubb amassed 18.7 pts to solidify first win of the season for the Browns, as well as The Flemchise.
The Flemchise
1. Kenny Golladay - 25.2 pts
I think when Flemming had his notorious draft taking Zeke and Gordon in the early rounds some were questioning who was going to be his #1 Wideout in which Flemm replied "Kenny Golladay". Big pick and bigger win to get to 1-1 on the year.
2. Jared Goff - 24.9 pts
How do you start this guy over Russel Wilson after my Ciara tribute last week?
3. Ezekiel Elliot - 21.7 pts
99 Problems But Mitch Ain't One
Revenge Game
Sammy Watkins had a long TD called back and James Conner went down in the game. This matchup could've easily gone in 99 Problems But Mitch Ain't One's way. Mitch certainly was not a problem riding the pine, nor was he the solution. I sense a little bit of urgency at the RB position for this team and know just the guy *cough cough.
To Khalil a Mackingbird
An all around great day for this team who starts off 0-2 in losing to two of the top scoring teams in back-to-back weeks.
Looking on the bright side we have the quote of the year from Khalil himelf
3. John Ross III - 25.5 - possible flex start of the year, just a shame it didn't matter in the end..
116.1 to 130
Jahnsy Rico
A bit of a comeback down to earth week for Rico. If you take a look at the % of points Dalvin and Ekeler had this week you would notice that is pretty substantial of team's total. Should be interesting to see what this manager does now that only QB on current roster is Drew Brees who is out for a while. By the time you're all reading this Jahns will probably have a new QB via the waiver wire that should be a good indication if he can compete against Dude Where's My Carson? this week.
162 to 110.7
White Claw Variety packs
See note earlier in beginning of blog. This guys choked and wound up playing Desean Jackson in flex position to just miss top score of the week.

2 interceptions plagued what would've been a nice day. Playing in Atlanta probably didn't help since they are 9-1 in their last 10 home games. Pretty sure that stat is accurate.

3. Brandin Cooks - 16 pts

1. Matt Ryan - 31.5 pts
Can't trust a guy who wears a glove on his non-throwing hand, get rid of him before he ultimately leads you to commit GTA |
2. Chris Godwin - 25.5 pts - possibly my favorite pick in this year's draft behind Dalvin Cook and Austin Ekeler. I think Arians gets Godwin involved a lot this year especially when he won't receive as much defensive attention as Mike Evans & O.J. Howard
More Flexing of guns.. did we not learn our lesson? Also, Godwin's index finger should be over the nipple of the football to secure the ball properly. Just ask Saquon Barkley who didn't fumble once last year, but did so in week 1 of this season. |
Chris Godwin had the highest PFF receiving grade (90.0) & overall grade (90.9) among all NFL WRs in week 2— PFF TB Buccaneers (@PFF_Buccaneers) September 17, 2019
He caught 8 of 9 targets for 121 YDS & 1 TD which resulted in a near perfect NFL passer rating when targeted of 155.8#GoBucs

I eluded to it earlier, some of you should know who I'm referring to by now.. I am of course talking about the Patriots defensive performance against the Division III Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
A few of us were watching the game with Kratz and Redzone was on one of the screens. It seemed as though every few minutes there was a Patriots Defense Replay being played on Redzone, in which Mike would curdle into the fetal position and try not to watch. It didn't help that the bar audio sound was playing the Redzone feed and we got to hear Scott Hanson's voice each time in that calm tone when he has to continually announce a team whooping on another. It also doesn't help that this is was Scott Hanson looks like:
Hearing his voice say "And that's another Patriots Pick-6" was driving Kratz insane to the point murder was on his mind. I made the ultimate decision to leave the bar as a safety precaution. I was in fear for my life....... I mean did you see this pick that Fitzpatrick threw?

Imagine seeing that and trying to talk somebody out of not committing real life GTA, no thanks.
Followed up with this (keep in mind Scott Hanson's voice) trying to convince Kratz it'll all be OKAY in the end..

2. Patrick Mahomes - 47.1 pts
I am kinda tired about writing about this guy and it's only been 2 weeks so I am just going to start giving you guys random facts about this guy because this can get repetitive with him putting up the most points each week.
Random fact about Patrick Mahomes: His nickname growing up was Showtime. Initially given the nickname by his father (who is a former MLB player), stuck with him as he continued to produce under bright lights.
I may know someone else who goes by that nickname..
3. Calvin Ridley - 24 pts
If there is one thing I have learned from this week's blog while looking for pictures to use, it's that a lot of wide receivers like to flex and show off their guns of which they may or mat not possess.
