Papelbon of the Week 6/9

This week's submission was entered in by Tom. Tom is an absolute grinder on and off that field and I found it fitting that he would submit a Papelbon, without having any of the parties on his team. Just an all around team player, gotta love it. As for the owner of this week's winner, we have Harry from team Let Drake Stay!!!! To no surprise - this week's winner is Manny Machado.

 

Manny Machado was suspended 4 games for charging, swinging at Yordano Ventura. Now, let me preface this by saying I had originally drafted Ventura. I dropped him after like week 4 because he's a psycho that cannot get out of the first inning. He certainly is qualified to also win the award this week for throwing a 99 MPH heater and Machado's hip.

  

Now, Machado being from Miami and of Dominican descent, one can quickly come to the conclusion that Machado is only charging the mound here because Ventura threw at his hip. The one part of the body his ethnicity needs during the off-season, as Ventura decides to attack for a mortal blow. I think it's about time Manny got those hips insured, just like Shakira did.

I love how these guys both take off their respective caps, do a little jiggle, close their eyes, and hope some knucks connect.

Honorable Mention - DJ LaMahieu

Kenta Maeda Lays down a sacrifice bunt and we see the second baseman for the Rockies, DJ LaMahieu, give absolutely zero fucks on the defensive bunt strategy. Bunt went down the third base line, in which the Rockies first basemen covered first, DJ gives up no ground. What an animal. Love this mentality. Not only that, but he goes on to catch the ball and attempts to flip it to his first baseman. Looks like something straight out of the south park where they try to lose every game of the season on purpose.
